NFL Draft is right around the corner so the rumor mill is heating up. Here is a summary of the most pertinent information going around today.
I also spoke to a Vegas insider who noted that draft action has begun to heat up, but that “it gets too volatile to report because it changes dramatically.” Some are already diving into this market and likely shifting some lines, but the heaviest volume will come over the next two days.
– The top four picks seem fairly set in stone:
1. Titans – Cam Ward
2. Browns – Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter
3. Giants – Travis Hunter or Abdul Carter
4. Patriots – Will Campbell
– Jaguars are expected to go skill position at No. 5, according to many. The buzz is pointing toward Jeanty. That said, they could also be putting out smoke to entice the Bears to trade up. Jacksonville has moved into the betting favorite to be Jeanty’s landing spot.
– My thoughts on the Jags: It’s starting to feel like a calculated move to create trade interest, especially since teams like the Raiders, Saints, Bears (mostly the Bears) and Broncos are all intrigued.
– McMillan is basically a lock for the top 12, according to Dane Brugler. He doesn’t profile like most wide receivers we see go in that range, but Brugler is as credible as they come.
– “A strong ribbon of executives still believe [Shedeur Sanders] will exit Thursday having gone in the top 10,” per Charles Robinson. Also notable: Shedeur said on Maxx Crosby’s podcast that “whoever the QB for DK Metcalf and George Pickens… whoever that is this year” will belong on the Mount Rushmore of QB–receiver duos. Read into that what you will.
– Saints not going quarterback — not surprising in my opinion as it’s something I have anticipated even after the Derek Carr injury news. Likely to grab the best player available, wait for 2026, and possibly go after Arch Manning or Garrett Nussmeier, both of whom have strong connections to New Orleans.
– The 49ers going defensive line might be the worst-kept secret in the draft after letting Nick Bosa walk, although the Buccaneers targeting a linebacker at 19 is not far behind.
– Charles Robinson says Dallas is looking at WR or CB; Jane Slater says OL or DL. Cowboys typically lean trench picks and have needs there. Robinson also mentioned Dallas may make a push for George Pickens, which could shake up draft plans.
– My take on Dallas: They dip into the trenches time and time again unless a killer value falls to them (see; CeeDee Lamb). They have obvious holes in the trenches as well, specifically with the sudden retirement of Zack Martin. I would strongly lean with Slater on this one.
– Expect at least five offensive tackles in Round 1. The obvious names: Campbell and Armand Membou going in the top six, followed closely by Kelvin Banks. Josh Simmons and Josh Conerly Jr. should also find homes in the first. Could more join them? Jonah Savaiinaea was once a R1 projection and tested well, so do not forget about him.
– Kelvin Banks expected to go “a lot higher” than most think, according to Benjamin Allbright. Betting markets have him at -500 to go before pick No. 13. Could be in play for the Jets at No. 7 if Campbell (to the Pats) and Armand (to the Raiders) are off the board.
– I originally thought Josh Simmons was a lock for top 20, but he pulled out of attending the draft. That may suggest he and his agent believe Round 1 isn’t a guarantee.
– To finish the OL talk: Grey Zabel is a name more should know. Hard to hate the tape, and he’s had a rock-solid offseason.
– Broncos could move up. Robinson mentioned WR or RB; Allbright has been firm that it won’t be WR. Interesting wrinkle: Sean Payton’s daughter predicted Omarion Hampton to Denver at No. 20 — again, read into that what you will.
– Will Johnson, Colston Loveland and Derrick Harmon could slide due to medical concerns — with Johnson and Loveland potentially dropping outside the top 20, and Harmon into Round 2.
– On that note though as well; Loveland reuniting with Jim Harbaugh in Los Angeles at pick 22 too much sense.
– Mykel Williams and Jaxson Dart both recently backed out of attending the draft. Don’t expect them to fall out of Round 1, but they may not go as high as previously projected.
– Bills reportedly have a strong interest in Jahdae Barron and could look to trade up for him.

Great read Josh – the Steelers definitely feel like the best spot for Shedeur, but don’t rule out the Raiders trading up to get him if he’s still available late in the first round!
Shedeur learning from Geno would certainly be an interesting development! Will be interesting to see how the new regime plays this draft. If they stay put, go OL at 6, I could see WR or CB in R2.
Watch for Will Howard potentially R3 for the Raiders.
